Hawaya Racing also performs performance upgrades on Street Harleys, Top Fuel, Pro Fuel, and Pro Dragster bikes. We recently moved to the heart of NASCAR country for a very good reason, and that is to bring this technology into our sport of Motorcycle Drag Racing.

PRO DRAGSTER CLASS ADDED TO THE MANUFACUTERS CUP RACES AT SOUTH GEORGIA MOTORSPORTS PARK Hawaya Racing and Purvis Motorsports are proud to announce that Royal Purple Lubricants has agreed to sponsor the Pro Dragster class in the up coming Manufactures Cup races. “We have been working on this program since last October says Johnny Vickers, president of Hawaya Racing, Inc. We saw this as a perfect opportunity to showcase the exciting Pro Dragster class to a new and completely different audience, potential sponsors, and new customers as well. At the same time, this venture would give the Manufacture’s cup races a bonus of their only all Harley class as well as the only other Nitro class. I started talking to Don Plesser of the PR Factory Store who is a big supporter of this race about what it would take to get the Pro Dragsters in that program. With Don’s help, we were able to get that accomplished. We then contacted Tim Fleming the manager of South Georgia Motorsports Park who host the events and we hammered out a deal. Next, we needed to have a class sponsor. My first thought, since this is a Manufactures Cup race, was that Royal Purple Lubricants would be a perfect fit. Hawaya Racing has a long history of involvement with Royal Purple. In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s Hawaya Racing worked closely with them using our Nitro Harley’s as a test bed to develop their Nitro engine oil. I reached out to Bill Purvis of Purvis Motorsports who has a working relationship with Royal Purple as well and collectively we reached an agreement with Royal Purple to sponsor the class. I think this is a win / win for all involved. “ The class will consist of a qualified 8 bike field and will run under AHDRA Pro Dragster class rules. The two events are scheduled for April 8th, 9th & 10th and November 11th, 12th, & 13th, 2011 in Valdosta, GA.
