Johnny Vickers showed his mechanical ability from an early age, and established Hawaya Racing in 1984. After years of continued growth, the company was incorporated in 1997 and in 2008, made the move to North Carolina.
Hawaya Racing, Inc. is presently located in Millers Creek, North Carolina. We specialize in the research, development and manufacturing of drag racing motorcycles, parts and safety equipment for Harley Davidson racing motorcycles. Hawaya Racing, Inc. also provides high performance parts and service for street driven Harley Davidsons. Our facilities include a complete in house machine shop, where racing and special parts such as our own line of Derringer racing engines, Nitro carburetors, Slipper clutches, Belt Drive systems, Fuel injection systems and drive train components are manufactured. We are an authorized DynoJet Tuning Center with the latest Dyno upgrades available.
Hawaya Racing Products (HRP) is deeply involved in the sport of Harley Davidson drag racing. Johnny is an accomplished racer himself, with four National Championships to his credit and is currently crew chief for the Ricky House Top Fuel team as well as several Pro Dragster teams. Steve is a certified factory trained Harley Davidson mechanic and also a graduate of the DynoJet Training facility located in Las Vegas, NV. In 2010, Johnny Vickers started the first ever school for Nitro Bike’s. This school is operated at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina twice per year, and has been very sucessful in training new riders how to safely ride and maintain a Nitro Harley. In 2013, HRP contracted Fabrication Engineer, Pete Browne to work along side Johnny to start building their own chassis program.
Hawaya Racing has three full time and two part time employees. Normal business hours are from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. EST Monday through Friday.
