New HRP Seal Nut Wrench. We just made a run of our newly re-designed seal nut wrench for PRP and Derringer style engines. Instead of using dowel pins, which would break off, we used 10 X 32 Grade 8 socket head cap screws that are replaceable. The wrench takes a 3/4" drive pull handle and is made from 1018 steel.
The new HRP Lifter is built by Jesel and is a direct replacement for the XL Style Lifters. Measurements are .730” Body diameter with DLC coating, .855” Roller Diameter, .365” Roller Width, with a .375” Diameter Axle. Adjuster Screw is 7/16” diameter.
We now have a new grind for the 4-cam engines running the 86-90 XL style set-up. This includes the Overkill, PRP, our Derringer engines and others the use the 4-cam valve train. The injected cams (HR-J) are designed for 150 - 200 cubic inch Nitro engines. Improvements include a much larger diameter cam lobe that improves lifter roller to cam lobe contact. This design also allows the cam manufacturer more flexibility in designing the profile of the lobe. We spent many hours designing and testing our new injected grind with the main objective to relieve some of the extreme exhaust pressure the exhaust valve has to open against. This is the main reason for pushrod, lifter and rocker arm failure in these engines. The larger lobe diameter has allowed us to do that so the valve train has it a bit easier opening the exhaust valve. Valve lift is .865" with a 1.74 rocker ratio.
The carbureted cams (HR-E) have the larger cam lobes as well and gives .745 inches of valve lift with a 1.62 rocker ratio, and a bit more duration that our HR-1 cams that have been in our Derringer engines for years. The E cam grind is also available for our Gen-4 upgrade.
We have redesigned our Derringer connection rod by beefing up the area around the wrist pin. This will provide an additional 20% strength to this area of the rod that would sometimes distort when you missed your tune up. We also skinned up the beam area of the rod as well. This will keep the weight of the rod the same as before and also provide additional clearance in the area where the rod and the cylinder bottom flange intersect.
Lock up Retainer 2016. We have redesigned our lock up retainer for the P/F style clutch hats. The original retainer was prone to wear in the area where the lock up fingers contacted the underside of the retainer. We now machine the retainer to accept a carbide disc in the wear area. This eliminates the wear forever and provides a smooth, consistent lock up operation.
Hawaya Racing Products has a new "Big Rod" available for the injected Harleys. Our new rod has improved oiling in the wrist pin area to aid in preventing the pin from seizing in the rod. Inadequate oiling is a known cause of wrist pin flex as the pin no longer rotates in the pin bore. We have also beefed up the area around the wrist pin to help reduce distortion of the wrist pin bore. The "Big Rod" is designed to take the CB-1512 style rod bearing and 1.094 wrist pin. We can produce this rod with a center to center distance of up to 9.0". Contact HRP for more info.
HRP Billet Aluminum Nitro Carb. After 25 years of modifying the S&S carburetors, HRP now CNC machines a billet fuel carburetor in house. Every P/F record on the books is set using one of our HRP carbs.

New One Piece Main Jets. We CNC these one piece main jets for the "D" Fuel Carburetors in sizes up to .330".
HRP now has the Gen-4 Valve Train Upgrade kit available to convert your Derringer to a high cam version. There are many advantages to the Gen-4 package, first off it is available in either a dry top end kit (like most all engines are), or a wet version that pressure feeds oil the top end. The Gen-4 upgrade moves the cams up about 3 inches.
This is our new heavy Beadlock ring. It is the thickest of all of our Beadlock rings and also has double locking set screws. We offer an optional weight kit that will bolt on this beadlock ring to balance the big tires. No longer do you need to glue or tape your weights to your wheel.
We designed and CNC machine these billet aluminum triple trees out of 7075 material to accept the GSXR front end. We also re-valve the fork tubes to handle the heavier T/F bikes.
